NICHOLAS DI ANGELO was born around 1903 in New Jersey, the son of Italian immigrant parents. By 1930 he was married, and with wife Pauline, owned a home at 311 Clinton Street where they lived with their daughter Raffaeline, son Carmen, and his brothers, Joseph and Philip. Nicholas DiAngelo was listed in the Census of that year as being an officer with the city, although it is not clear if he was a member of the police force. 

In 1933, at a meeting held at the DiAngelo home, he was elected president of the Third Ward Republican Club.

Nicholas and Pauline DiAngelo were living at 516 Royden Street when the 1947 Camden City Directory was compiled. He was then working as a maintenance man. 

The Di Angelos are not listed in the 1956 New Jersey Bell Telephone Directory.

'REPUBLICANS UNITE IN THIRD WARD CLUB
All Party Elements Join in Election of Nicholas Di Angelo President

With the purpose of molding together all the Republican units in the ward, the Third Ward Republican Club was formed at 311 Clinton street. Nicholas Di Angelo was elected president unanimously. The other officers elected were Charles Painter, vice president; Stephen Pulea, treasurer; Orlando Passeri, recording secretary, and Joseph Paradise, financial secretary. All the officers excepting Paradise held the same positions in the Third Ward Republican Association which was officially disbanded with the organization of the new club.

:0 The following were chosen as the board of trustees: Daniel Auletto, Paul Paradise, Nicholas Di Angelo, Charles Painter, Anthony Malatesta, Angelo Painter, Orlando Passeri and George Savage. Auletto is a member of the Board of Freeholders from the Third Ward and it was largely due to his efforts that the new club was organized.

Seventy-five members attended the meeting last night and the future of the club looks exceptionally bright. All Republicans in the ward are invited to join.
