MICHAEL P. PEPE was born in Camden NJ about 1921 to Matteo and Luisa Pepe. At the time of the 1930 census, the Pepe family was living at 428 Spruce Street in Camden NJ, where the elder Pepe worked as a laborer in a canning plant. Besides Michael, there was another brother, Gaetano. After serving with the United States Army in Europe during World War II, Michael Pepe returned to Camden in 1946. The 1947 City Directory shows him as living at 557 Royden Street. That year he became the manager of Tappin's Jewelry Store at 26 Broadway in Camden. He also married Theresa DePalmo in that year. By 1959 Michael Pepe and his family would move to 1165 Lansdowne Avenue in Camden. They would move to Cherry Hill NJ in 1970 where he resided until 1999. Michael Pepe would remain the manager of Tappin's Jewelry until 1984. Michael P. Pepe passed away on July 29, 2003. He was buried at New St. Mary's Cemetery in Bellmawr NJ.. |

MICHAEL P. He is the beloved husband of Theresa (nee DiPalmo) for 56 years. He is the devoted father of Louise N. McGrane and her husband James of Audubon. He is the loving grandfather of Jimmy. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Saturday after 9:45AM at St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Fourth Ave. & Kings Hwy, Haddon Heights. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM at St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr. |
