HENRY S. FORD was born in New Jersey in 1870 to Benjamin and Christina Ford. An only child, his early years were spent in Bridgeton NJ, where his father was a nail cutter. Henry S. Ford came to Camden at the age of 22 and opened a real estate office at 504 Federal Streets. He remained active in the real estate business for over 50 years. In January 1920, when the Census was taken, Benjamin Ford had passed away. Henry S. Ford had established a real estate business, and lived with his mother at 504 Federal Street. Henry S. Ford married late in life. At the time of the April 1930 census he was still engaged in the real estate business in Camden, where he owned a property at 802 Market Street with his wife Mae C. Ford. Mr. and Mrs. Ford had moved to 206 Cooper Street by October of 1936. Henry S. Ford passed away at Cooper Hospital on December 14, 1947. |
