FRANK S. CORNELL was born in Delaware around 1890, At the time of the April 1930 census, He was living with his mother Effie, a matron at the Camden County Courthouse, at 24 Haddon Avenue in Camden. At that time Frank Cornell and his brother Edwin F., also at home, were both working as electricians at a nearby hosiery mill. On January 1, 1934 he began working for the First Camden National Bank & Trust Company in Camden, where he was the assistant vault custodian. He held that position for the rest of his life. By 1947 he was living at 448 Carteret Street in Camden, he later moved in with his brother at 2869 Constitution Road in the Fairview section of Camden. Frank Cornell was a member of the Ionic Lodge No. 94 Free and Associated Masons, and was active in other Masonic groups in the Camden area. He was also a member of Camp Number 2, Loyal Order of the Sons of America, Camden Commandery 34. Frank S. Cornell passed away on July 19, 1950 at Lakeland General Hospital in Gloucester Township NJ. Survived by his brother and a daughter, Mrs. Edna Milovitz of Haddonfield, he was buried at Harleigh Cemetery in Camden. His brother would pass a few years later. |
