George
Roundey

GEORGE ROUNDEY was born in 1905 in Bridgeton NJ to William and Anna V. Roundey. The family later moved to Vineland NJ where William Roundey worked driving an express wagon.

George Roundey worked at the Camden County Jail in Camden until his death on February 23, 1947. By 1936 he was chief of the identification bureau at the jail, in charge of photographing and fingerprinting those who passed through the jail. He apparently became warden of the county jail sometime thereafter, working under the supervision of the Camden County Sheriff.
