Camden Fire Department
Uniformed Force
Alphabetical Index
The purpose of this page is to provide links to web-pages dedicated to individuals who have served with the uniformed force of the Camden Fire Department. The City of Camden's professional fire department was founded in 1869. The department has been a leader in introducing new technologies over the years, was one of the first departments in the nation to be fully motorized, and its members have compiled a record of service that stands with that of any force in any city of the United States, large or small. In 1994, to commemorate the 125th Anniversary of the Camden Fire Department, a book detailing the history of the force and those who served on it, was published. A roster of every person who had to that date served on the professional fire department in Camden was compiled from available records and was included in that book. That roster, with the names of over 1200 individuals, is the basis of this web-page. Eventually every individual will have their own individual web-page. To find an individual's page, click on the appropriate letter. If a page for a person or person has not been created yet, please contact me, and one will be created. If you would like to add to or correct any information you find on this website, please contact me. Also, if you are aware of anyone who has been missed on this web-site, please contact me. Thanks to Bob Bartosz, Sonny Frett, Lee Ryan, Richard Tate and Chief of Department David Yates for their help in creating this series of web-pages. Phillip
