Ladder Company 4 was organized on September 16, 1920, and entered service on that date at 2000 Morgan Boulevard, where it shared quarters with Engine Company 10. Ladder Company 4 was disbanded on July 5, 1936 in response to a financial crisis the city found itself in as a result of the Depression. |
LADDER COMPANY 4 PERSONNEL * January 1, 1927 - December 31, 1934 The information below was gleaned from the actual attendance log for Ladder Company 4. The attendance log ended on December 31, 1934, however the actual book also included notes on inspections carried out in 1935 and 1936, naming Acting Junior Captain William Scholl as one who conducted some of the inspections. It is probable that William Scholl served with Ladder Company 4 until it disbanded. He was still with the Camden Fire Department in the 1940s. |
