Roy Elmer Starr

GUNNER'S MATE THIRD CLASS ROY ELMER STARR was born on September 29, 1916. He met his wife Florence Mae at a YMCA dance in Camden NJ in 1942. They wed prior to his being sent to the South Pacific. Gunners Mate Starr died on July 3, 1943 at a base hospital in the Pacific.

Roy Starr was brought home to New Jersey in February of 1948. He was buried at Beverly National Cemetery on March 11, 1948. He was survived by his wife, then of 3059 River Road, Camden NJ.
