SECOND LIEUTENANT HARRY S. ELLIS was born on November 6, 1916. When the 1940 Census was taken, he was working at the Campbell Soup factory and living at 921 Vine Street with his wife Eugenie, a stenographer. 

Second Lieutenant Ellis served as a fighter pilot, with the 348th Fighter Group, 341st Fighter Squadron. He was lost along with his aircraft,
P-51D Mustang #44-15072 over Southwest Pacific region on Spetember 16, 1945, shortly after hostilities with Japan had ended. He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Eugenia Ellis. 

Second Lieutenant Ellis is memorialized at the Brigadier William J. Doyle National Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey.
