PRIVATE FIRST CLASS MARLIN M. BOWERS, 37, of 544 North 35th Street, Camden NJ, was killed in action on Leyte in the Philippine Islands on December 9, 1944. The son of Samuel Bowers, he entered the Army in April 1942, and went overseas in March, 1944.

Marlin M. Bowers was survived by his father and his brother William, who had been honorably discharged from the Army shortly before Marlin Bowers' death.
