PRIVATE FIRST CLASS GUSTAV A. BARRICELLI was born June 13, 1916 to John and Mary Barricelli in Camden NJ. He attended St. Joseph's Catholic School on Westfield Avenue in East Camden. A self-employed carpenter before entering the Army, he lived at 3510 Federal Street in Camden NJ. He had entered the Army in September 1942, and was sent overseas as a member of a medical unit in February 1944. He was killed in action on March 18, 1945 in the fighting which secured the Ludendorf Bridge over the Rhine River, at Remagen, Germany.

Gustav Barricelli was survived by his father John, four brothers Michael J., Mario G., Matthew, and Albert, and five sisters, Caroline, Tillie, Theresa, Lillian, and Julia.

On December 10, 1947 Gustav Barricelli was buried at Beverly National Cemetery in Beverly NJ.
