PRIVATE FIRST CLASS EDWARD L. O'TOOLE was born on April 8, 1921. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John O'Toole, of 1152 Penn Street in Camden NJ. A 1942 graduate of Camden Catholic High School, he had gone into the Army on June 10, 1942, and went overseas in November of 1942.  

Private First Class Edward O'Toole died of wounds received in combat in France on June 7, 1944. He was survived by his parents, brothers John Jr. and William, and sisters Joan and Mrs. Robert Heimlich. He was engaged to be married to Miss Ann McGraw of Philadelphia. His death was reported in the August 1, 1944 edition of the Camden Courier-Post. After the war, he was brought home to New Jersey and buried at Beverly National Cemetery in Beverly NJ on May 24, 1948.
