PRIVATE FIRST CLASS EDWARD G. FERGUSON had lived in Camden with his wife, Loyal G. Ferguson, at 486 Boyd Street. Inducted into the United States Army from a draft board in Pennsylvania, he was assigned to the 10th Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division. He was killed in action while serving in Europe on September 15, 1944.

Edward G. Ferguson was survived by his wife, who had moved to 200 East Essex Avenue in Lansdowne PA. His death was reported in the November 28, 1944 edition of the Camden Courier-Post. He rests at Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avold, France.
