PRIVATE WILSON D. GEORGE
was born in Bay Springs Pennsylvania. He moved to Camden in the 1900s,
and was living at 606 West
Street when he enlisted in the Third Regiment,
New Jersey National Guard on May 17, 1916. When the regiment was
reorganized, Private George was reassigned to Company M, 114th Infantry
Regiment.
Private Wilson D. George
went over seas with his unit in June of 1915. Ho was killed in
action on October 18, 1918 during the fighting in the Bois de Ormande.
Private George's mother,
Mrs. Jennie George of Towanda, Pennsylvania was notified of his death.
