PRIVATE HENRY GRIER was born in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1881. He lived in Camden, New Jersey at 765 Chestnut Street

When America went to war Henry Grier made his way to New York in enlisted in the 15th Regiment, New York National Guard.  Private Grier went overseas with his unit in December of 1917. In March of 1918 the 15th Regiment was reorganized as the 369th Infantry Regiment.

Private Henry Grier died of pneumonia in July 11, 1918. His mother, Caroline Grier, of Charlotte, North Carolina, was notified of his death.
