SERGEANT WARREN P. HARBISON was born in Camden NJ on August 30, 1919 to Warren Grant Harbison and his wife Minnie. He made his home at 785 Line street. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1939, and saw action in the Pacific during World War II, where he earned the Purple Heart. 

Sergeant Harbison remained in the Marine Corps after the war. He was killed in an automobile accident while on active duty at Camp Lejeune NC on October 26, 1947. 

Warren P. Harbison's grandmother, Hannah Roberts Harbison, was the sister of Joseph E. Roberts Sr., a prominent builder of houses in Camden and elsewhere in New Jersey from the 1870s into the 1900s.
