PRIVATE ROBERT H. COPE was born in 1929. Prior to entering the Army he had lived at 428 Walnut Street in Camden NJ. Private Cope was a member of Company M, 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on December 12, 1950. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. Private Cope was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
