Jefferson Street

Jefferson Avenue

JEFFERSON STREET, which officially, as far as city and county land, tax, and title records go is Jefferson Avenue, runs from the Delaware River east to South 10th Street, one block north of Chelton Avenue. At one time Jefferson Street carried straight through, however, the construction of I-676 interrupted Jefferson Street and wiped out all structures east of the railroad tracks to Master Street.
