GREENWOOD AVENUE is in Camden's Parkside neighborhood. It runs from 1402 Bradley Avenue for two blocks southeast to Vesper Boulevard, parallel to Park Boulevard. The 1500 block of of Greenwood lays between Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Harleigh Cemetery, the Camden High School athletic fields, and the Camden County Historical Society buildings. Greenwood Avenue does not appear in the 1924 Camden City Directory. When the 1947 Directory was compiled, there were only six homes occupied on Greenwood Avenue, in the 1400 block. Within a few years, however, a series of brick row homes were built all the way to Vesper Boulevard. |
