COPEWOOD STREET runs west of Haddon Avenue, opposite Harleigh Cemetery, passing under the railroad tracks and passing by Thorne Street to its termination at Davis Street. The street was laid out in 1917. There are no houses, and only one building has ever had a Copewood Street address. 2 Copewood Street was for many years the home of Thomas B. Nelson & Sons, a publishing and bookbinding firm. Copweood Street is a somewhat well traveled street as it provides access from Haddon Avenue to the Ferry Avenue Patco Station, Woodlynne, and Camden's Whitman Park neighborhood.

A number of industrial and commercial properties besides the Thomas B. Nelson and Son building have or had frontage on  Copewood Street, including the A.N. Stollewerck candy factory, the Radio Condenser Company, B.F. Sturtevant Company, the Coriell Institute, and the Camden Municipal Hospital for Infectious Diseases, the latter two buildings entrance having entrances at the intersection of Davis and Copewood Streets. 

In the 1990s the Camden Board of Education acquired the building, and converted it into the Dr. Charles Brimm Medcial Arts High School.
