535 Liberty Street from 1959 through 1970

Roland Farmer was born to Charles and Florence Farmer of Lawnside NJ on January 25, 1914. He was one of at least nine children.

Roland Farmer first appeared in the Camden City Directory as a bar owner in 1943. His tavern appeared as Roland Farmer's Tavern in 1943, and as both Roland Farmer's Tavern and The Spot in 1947. Both entries show the bar at 547 Liberty Street, as does the 1956 New Jersey Bell Telephone Directory for 1956.

By 1959 the bar had moved, and The Spot appears in New Jersey bell Telephone Directories from that year through at least 1970. During this entire period he remained a resident of Lawnside.

By 1977 The Spot was no longer appearing in the telephone books. Roland Farmer passed away on April 16, 1989.
