CAMDEN, NEW JERSEY

TEE'S CAFE
619 Ferry Avenue

TEE'S CAFE occupied the building at 619 Ferry Avenue from 1972 to at least 1981. It had, from the 1940s until mid 1969 been the home of the Yugoslav Workers' Club. The Eighth Ward Progressive Republican Club held a license here from 1970 until 1972, when Derese Fisher, who had been an officer in the Eighth Ward club, was licensed.

The last mention in the Courier-Post is dated in 1982, when the individual convicted of an armed robbery of Tee's Place in 1980 was sentenced to a lengthy prison term.

By 1990 Tee's Cafe shut its doors. Although the sign remains, today the building is a private residence.
