1201 Mechanic Street
Northeast Corner of Louis and Mechanic Streets

The B & J  Lounge was the successor to to Revallo family, which operated the bar at 1201 Mechanic Street from the 1930s through the early 1970s. John Revallo resided at 1186 Mechanic Street, on the opposite corner of Louis & Mechanic Streets in the 1930s. According to the 1947 City Directory, the Revallo residence was above the bar, at 1201 Mechanic. John Revallo Jr. was living over the bar and operating it by 1959. He remained there until the mid-1970s, when the bar was sold. 

The bar was known as the B & J Lounge by 1977. There has not been an operating bar at this address for many years.
