ZENON BUBNOSKI was born to Mr. and Mrs. Bronislaw "Bruno" Bubnoski in Camden above the bar which his family owned, Bruno's Cafe and Restaurant, at Mount Ephraim and Atlantic Avenues. Zenon Bubnoski served in the United States Merchant Marine during World War II, and later became the owner and operator of Bruno's. The bar was operating under that name into the early 1980s. By 1985, however, it was under new management and called The City Lights. The bar was razed around the year 2000 and a Rite-Aid drugstore and parking lot were erected on the property it had once occupied. Zenon Bubnoski also served as President of the Camden Tavern Owner's Association and was a member of the Wheelmen and the Antique Automobile Club of America. Last a resident of Moorestown NJ, Zenon Bubnoski passed away on October 16, 2007. |
