When the 1947 Camden City Directory was compiled, Harry Allebach was living at 1903 Tinsman Avenue in Pennsauken. He eventually returned to Camden, and made his home at 2941 Cramer Street in East Camden, around the corner from his earlier residences.

Harry J. Allebach served as Chief's Aide until June 16, 1951, when he was transferred to Engine Company 11 on North 27th Street in Cramer Hill. He was returned to District Chief's Aide duty on January 14, 1952. On February 2, 1957 Harry Allebach was once again assigned to duty with Engine Company 11. He retired on pension from the Fire Department on February 1, 1958.
