ELIZABETH MOSES was born Elizabeth Ryzinski around 1915 to Bolesaw and Bronislawa Ryzinski. Boleslaw Ryzinski operated a saloon at 1549 Mount Ephraim Avenue through at lest 1924, and the operated a hardware store at that same address.

 After graduating from Camden High School in January of 1934, Elizabeth Ryzinski continued her education, graduating from Sargent College of Boston University with a degree in health and physical education. Returning to Camden, she obtained a position as a teacher at Camden High School. She was teaching at Camden High as early as the fall of 1939. In 1943 she married John Moses of Camden NJ. Commissioned as an officer in the United States Army Air Corps and trained as bombardier, Second Lieutenant Moses was killed when his plane was shot down over Rimini Italy on September 18, 1944. 

Mrs. Moses continued working as  a physical education teacher at Camden High School. She retired after 37 years of service. Last a resident of Westmont NJ, she passed away on July 11, 2008 at the age of 93.

MOSES, ELIZABETH
On July 11, 2008, (nee Ryzinski) Age 93 years. Mrs. Moses was born and raised in Camden, NJ where she lived until moving to Westmont nearly 40 years ago. She was the beloved wife of the late John James Moses and loving mother of the late James Moses. She is survived by her niece Celeste Zbiekowski of Silver Springs MD, her dear friends Maureen Meier, Kelly Rockstein, Mary Lou MacDermott, and loving caretaker Roma Kerr and devoted parishioners Brenda and Todd Jarger.
Mrs. Moses taught at Camden High School for over 37 years. She was a long time and devoted parishioner of Holy Savior Church in Westmont. She was a member of the Gold Star Wives of America and was very active in the Boston University Alumni Association.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00am at Holy Savior Church, Emerald Ave., Westmont, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am at the Church. Interment to follow St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to St. Joseph's Church, 1010 Liberty St., Camden, NJ 08101. Arrangement entrusted to the CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, Oaklyn, NJ.
