CAMDEN , N.J.
ROOSEVELT PLAZA
WAR MEMORIAL

This monument replaced a bronze tablet affixed to the Arch Street side of the former Camden County Courthouse. It lists the names of 134 Camden County men and 1 woman who died while in the service of their nation. When the old Courthouse was demolished, the marker was relocated, and then replaced by a monument. In 1984 the bronze marker was replaced by this monument, at Roosevelt Plaza, the area between Federal and Market Street west of City Hall in Camden NJ, and inscriptions were made to recognize those lost in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.
The names of those lost in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam are on display on a wall in the Eastern entrance to Camden's City Hall.

It has become apparent that the list of names for World War II at City Hall is very incomplete. A complete listing will be posted on this website sometime in 2002. Please consult the websites for each war memorial if you are looking for an individual lost in World War II.
